Cellphone Powered by D-Cell Batteries.

This newspaper clipping was from a Papua New Guinean national newspaper in July, 2009. It shows a woman talking on a cellphone powered by a D-cell battery and some wires. Necessity is truly the mother of invention. It might be that solutions to the developed worlds resource limitations lie in developing countries. Developing countries have, for generations in some cases, operated under severe resource constraints.
